Mox Bank
Background
Standard Chartered Bank were granted one of the first digital bank licenses in Hong Kong. R/GA London had undertaken the brand identity work, resulting in the naming and creation of the Mox brand. The brand system was built around the simple notion of a coin, and was visually energetic to capture the attitudes of the ‘Emerging Affluent’ market; a connected generation with different needs and expectations of banking. The brand uses a fresh and vibrant colour palette, straying away from its legacy bank counterparts, with graphic elements suggestive of motion to support the idea of putting your money into action. R/GA Singapore & Sydney were engaged to create the brand as an interface and in the form of the main digital product. The Sydney team joined R/GA in Singapore, spending 3+months on-site and working closely with Mox’s product owners. Leading a team of 4-5 visual designers, the task was to define the visual direction for the UI, iterate, manage and document a design system from the ground up, and provide design/art direction across screens, components, interactions and animations.
